Usage Guide:

1. Preparation:

   • Rinse Purigen before use to remove any dust or debris.

2. Placement:

   • Use in a fine mesh filter bag (180 micron or less), such as Seachem’s The Bag™.
   • For optimal results, position Purigen where water flow is maximized, such as in a canister filter, media chamber, or high-flow area of a trickle filter.

3. Dosage:

   • Each 250 mL of Purigen treats up to 1,000 L (250 US gallons) for up to six months.
   • Monitor color change for exhaustion.

4. Regeneration Process:

   • Soak Purigen in a 1:1 bleach and water solution for 24 hours in a non-metallic container, ensuring ventilation and keeping it out of reach of children.
   • Rinse thoroughly and soak in a dechlorinator solution (e.g., Seachem Prime®) for 8 hours.
   • For freshwater use, soak in a buffer solution for 4 hours.
   • Rinse well before reuse.

5. Cautions:

   • Avoid using bleach products with added scents or dyes.
   • Ensure no chlorine odor remains before reusing Purigen.
