The JBL PROCLEAN AQUA IN-OUT COMPLETE is a comprehensive water changing kit designed for aquarium maintenance, including gravel cleaning and water replenishment. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to use it properly:

1. Installation:

   • Attach the water jet pump securely to your water tap.
   • Connect one end of the long hose to the water jet pump and the other end to the gravel cleaner.
   • Hang the gravel cleaner inside the aquarium, ensuring it reaches the substrate.

2. Starting the Process:

   • Set the stopcock on the water jet pump to the “flow” position to allow water to flow through.
   • Fully open the water tap. This action creates suction, drawing water from the aquarium through the gravel cleaner via the hose.

3. Cleaning the Substrate:

   • Insert the gravel cleaner into the aquarium substrate using a twisting motion. The suction will lift debris and waste from the substrate into the cleaner.
   • As you clean, the substrate will settle back down naturally, leaving the debris trapped in the cleaner.

4. Refilling the Aquarium:

   • Once you’ve cleaned the desired area, close the stopcock on the water jet pump to halt the suction.
   • Open the water tap again to allow fresh water to flow into the aquarium, filling it to the desired level.

5. Adjustments for Different Substrates:

   • For fine sand, adjust the suction by slightly raising the gravel cleaner to prevent sand from being sucked out.
   • If there’s a substrate fertilizer layer, avoid inserting the gravel cleaner too deeply to prevent disturbance.

6. Regular Maintenance:

   • Conduct partial water changes approximately every 2 weeks, replacing about 1/3 of the water volume.
   • During water changes, ensure to siphon off waste from the substrate to maintain water quality.

7. Kit Contents:

   • The kit includes 1 complete water changing set with an 8 m hose, a gravel cleaner (27-46 cm long), a thread adapter for various tap sizes (3/4’’ to 22 x 1; 24 x 1; 28 x 1), 2 hose fixing clips, and 1 water jet pump.
