Seachem – PhosNet

Seachem PhosNet is a high-performance granular ferric oxide (GFO) that effectively removes phosphates and silicates from both freshwater and saltwater aquariums without releasing them back into the water.

Specifications:

• Size: 250 ml
• Usage Rate: Use 50 g (1/2 cup) for every 200 L (50 US gallons) of saltwater or 400 L (100 US gallons) of freshwater.

Usage Guide:

1. Rinse Before Use: Always rinse PhosNet before adding it to the aquarium.
2. Placement: Position in a canister filter, media chamber, box filter, or any high flow area of a trickle filter to maximize water flow without causing tumbling.
3. Filter Bag: Use a filter bag for optimal results.
4. Monitoring: Leave in place for 4 days, then test phosphate or silicate levels using MultiTest™ Phosphate or MultiTest™ Silicate.
5. Replacement: If levels are not around 0.02 mg/L, replace PhosNet; otherwise, leave until levels begin to rise.
6. Continuous Use: Regular small doses are more effective than occasional larger doses.

Note: PhosNet does not leach phosphates or silicates back into the water and can be dried and reused until exhausted.
